Edible Raw Meat Brains 21+
First and foremost, let me give credit when credit is due, this recipe is based on the Homicidal Homemaker’s Recipe. They make everything look so easy and simple. Love the website, love the Happy Halloween Month!!
My spin on this recipe is a simple cannabis infusion. Yes, I do mean with the devil’s lettuce. That being said, this recipe is ONLY for adults. This sweet gorey recipe is incredible and so fun to make. Perfect for halloween parties or halloween stoner sessions!

- 1 1/2 Cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 Cup dry Red Velvet Cake Mix

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and red food coloring
- 3 Cups of Rice Krispie Cereal
For bloody sauce:
- ¼ Cup Strawberry Jam
- Red Food Coloring
Extra Supplies:
- Meat Trays https://amzn.to/3U6Pckq

How to make it!
Step 1: Lay out a sheet of parchment or oven safe silicone mat.
Step 2: To prepare in the microwave: In a microwave safe bowl, melt all butter and marshmallows in 30-second increments, stirring frequently and being careful not to scorch or burn the mixture. Because you will have to start over!
To prepare over stovetop: Melt all butter in a medium to large saucepan, over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well combined. Cook about 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly so the mixture doesn’t scorch.
Step 3: Remove from heat.
Once butter and marshmallows are fully melted and mixed together, add vanilla extract and a few drops of red food coloring and mix well.
Step 4: Gradually stir in Red Velvet Cake Mix. (If the mixture seems too thick, microwave for a few seconds or add in a little bit more melted butter)
Add in the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until combined. Start with 1 Cup and only add as many as you need. Around 2.5 to 3 Cups worked for me.
Step 5: Spray your hands with cooking spray, or grease them with butter, oil, or shortening.
Remove the mixture from the bowl and onto the parchment/silicone mat. Now it’s time to mold it into a shape. You can simply throw it on the tray like hamburger meat or make a desired shape. I did a few brains because that was the only thing I could make so easily.
TIP: I used a butterknife to create the butt like brain indention. Then I used a spoon to try and replicate all the dimples in the brain. This gave it so much texture and it no longer looked like a red butt.
Bloody Sauce:
Step 1: Microwave the strawberry jam in a microwave safe bowl or mug for about 30 seconds. This just makes it easier to handle. Then, add 2-3 drops of food coloring and mix. Add as much red food coloring as you see fit. The redder the better.
Step 2: Garnish brains with the blood sauce. I did this the messiest way possible by taking a scoop of the strawberry jam in my hand and rubbing it all over the brain. Making sure to get in all the crevices. You can also use a basting brush if you don’t like messy fingers.
(The Homicidal Homemaker states that you can use alternatives such as a berry coulis, grenadine in corn syrup, or raspberry agave)
Once you finish garnishing your creation. Go ahead and place your plastic wrap over your treats. Add your meat label. Boom! You have accomplished a spooky gorey treat that will lift you to the moon.
Have fun and enjoy!!
