Infused Butterfinger Muddy Buddies

Ayannah Bowman

So, when I was younger I had a thing for butterfingers. My grandmother was the candy lady all of my life. When I would go over to her house, I was allowed to get whatever treats I wanted. For a long time I was on the Butterfingers! I was obsessed to say the least. I couldn't wait to go back over there and get me a king sized Butter finger and my soda on the side. I eventually moved on and took my new obsession to snickers. But nothing was as good as that King sized Butterfinger!

These Muddy Buddies are absolutely delicious. These babies are pretty potent so please eat with caution. You might want to make a non infused batch with regular butter to just casually enjoy.

This recipe uses infused Ghee. If you don't know what infused Ghee is and/or if you want to learn how to make it. Click this link (insert link)

Supplies you will need: Large bowl, small glass bowl, small saucepan, rubber spatula, grocery bag, measuring cup.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup infused ghee
  • 12 oz bag chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cup crushed butterfinger
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth)
  • 8 cup Chex rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Step 1: Melt infused ghee, chocolate chips, and peanut butter in a double pot.

(Tip - If your like me and don't have a double pot. Put a glass bowl over a bowling pot of water. We'll always make it work 😉.)

Step 2:  Put Chex cereal and crushed butterfinger in a large bowl. Pour infused mixture over cereal. Fold cereal as you pour in mixture. (Tip - Make sure to coat well, try using a rubber spatula to help fold.)

Step 3: Carefully pour coated cereal mix into grocery bag or large bag. Pour powdered sugar on top. Tie bag close and shake. (Tip - Make sure to separate pieces on the outside of the bag while shaking.)

Step 4: Lay out on pan and let dry.

Can be eaten right away or stored for later. Enjoy!!!
