Wanna Donate to a Good Cause
We Always Got Us
W.A.G.U was born during the 2020 protests in Richmond—a time of chaos, resilience, and profound humanity. Amid the turmoil, I witnessed a different side of our community, one that filled me with hope for the future. The protests were intense, yet I’ve never felt safer. We stood together, supporting and protecting one another like a true community—something my generation seldom experiences.
Richmond’s homeless population was at the forefront of this movement. They camped at march locations, safeguarding the memorials created to honor lives lost to a broken justice system. Their actions inspired me deeply, and I wanted to support their efforts. Using W.A.G.U, I raised funds to provide them with food and supplies. It was a labor of love, and it brought me immense fulfillment.
Now that I’ve relocated to Church Hill in Richmond, I see even more clearly the devastating impact of homelessness and unlivable conditions. It’s impossible to ignore, and I feel compelled to act. Helping isn’t just something I want to do—it’s something I must do.
This winter I want to make sure that the homeless are receiving warm items.
